根据下面给的判据，应将材料分成HB、HB40和HB75（HB＝水平燃烧）级。
- Z8 s% Q% Y+ ~! n. a- E  D6 t( r5 g8.4.1 HB级材料应符合下列判据之一：
a) 移去引燃源后，材料没有可见的有焰燃烧；
) L) R# H( z/ a/ s: z1 xb) 在引燃源移去后，试样出现连续的有焰燃烧，但火焰前端未超过100mm标线；
c) 如果火焰前端超过100mm标线，但厚度3.0mm~13.0mm/其线性燃烧速率未超过40mm/min,或厚度低于3.0mm时未超过75mm/min；
' U* Y% A; H0 u/ S: g/ I9 Ld) 如果试验的厚度为3.0±0.2的试样，其线性燃烧速率未超过40mm/min，那么降至1.5mm的厚度时，就应自动地接受为该级。
" P0 A. ]( {# Y: `! l8 ^/ K8.4.2 HB40级材料应符合下列判据之一：
a) 移去引燃源后，没有可见的有焰燃烧；
+ ?5 k8 i6 v- F( ^/ R# r8 [4 _4 X: }b) 移去引燃源后，试样持续有焰燃烧，但火焰前端未达到100mm标线；
C）如果前端超过100mm标线，线性燃烧速率不超过40mm/min。
8.4.3 HB75级材料，如果前端超过100mm标线，线性燃烧速率不应超过70mm/min。

3 e0 b3 {* D# N8.4 Classification
The materials shall be classified HB, HB40 or HB75 (HB = horizontal burning) in accordance
' l4 n" e; d; w$ E* Bwith the criteria given below.
8.4.1 A material classified HB shall conform to one of the following criteria:
4 d# m6 ~$ e9 F) z" q: ]# M) A( }0 \a) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;
b) if the test specimens continue to burn with a flame after removal of the ignition source, the
; c! ]; s- @% u1 Z0 ]: }) I% tflame front shall not pass the 100 mm mark;
c) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding
4 e9 l7 c' c% S9 J/ a40 mm/min for a thickness of 3,0 mm to 13,0 mm or a burning rate not exceeding
- P' J0 \% T5 [  Q75 mm/min for a thickness of less than 3,0 mm;
; M/ Z2 x$ ]* W7 P6 t+ pd) if the linear burning rate does not exceed 40 mm/min for tests with 3,0 mm ± 0,2 mm
thickness, it shall automatically be accepted down to a 1,5 mm minimum thickness.
8.4.2 A material classified HB40 shall present one of the following criteria:
( o" @& v2 d$ {$ A6 S! i& Q; Xa) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;
b) if the test specimens continue to burn with a flame after removal of the ignition source, it
shall not have the flame front pass the 100 mm mark;
4 E6 W. t% C. |5 J* l) ^; e1 Vc) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding
40 mm/min.
8.4.3 A material classified HB75 shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding 75 mm/min, if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark.

HB40可能明确了试样尺寸。HB可能不强制规定试样尺寸，所以给了范围。 薄的试样燃烧速率自然快一些、剧烈一些。
