Surlyn® 8920 thermoplastic resin is an advanced ethylene/methacrylic acid (E/MAA) copolymer, in which2 R( {1 R: N, n' V# B8 q" ]/ u
the MAA acid groups have been partially neutralized with sodium ions. The amount of MAA and4 Q5 \/ o' ?2 C5 w1 H
neutralization levels for this grade result in excellent abrasion resistance, clarity, and stiffness. The resin
! K# \7 m2 J- I. Q. m( D! r xcan be injection or blow molded, and is processable by extrusion into sheets or shapes. It also can be used
' j! b4 n8 ]$ P, J9 q, \as a nucleating agent for PET molding applications. The resin complies with the provisions of U.S. Food
