The book has seven chapters. Each of these were prepared by a group of experts from
) A! @9 D0 z' a* d/ Vdifferent parts of the world. The first chapter, the introduction, gives some definitions
4 d) z+ w- y7 ]and classifications with some depth on the matrices and reinforcements for all types of
& |' L3 `% h7 q! K, V: n/ ^composite structures, including polymeric, metallic and ceramic matrix composites. More
/ T" |- [* d, P! edetailed information about constituent materials (matrices and reinforcements) is provided
/ a/ k$ `& S3 K. E6 F. ]in chapter 2. Different processing techniques of polymer composites are discussed in the
$ V! C7 v: [" o! b) V7 sfollowing chapters, briefly: open mould (in Chapter 3) and closed mould (matched die)
3 d0 t7 g4 t2 u: z6 k+ y) @processes, filament winding (Chapter 4) and pultrusion (Chapter 5). The book ends with
5 N2 m6 ~3 w) n l3 R* R/ ]; k6 ithe machining and joining processes commonly used for polymer composite structures.
