The titanium used in automotive applications such as exhaust or brake systems is almost exclusively one of the two commercially pure materials TIKRUTAN RT 12 (3.7025) and TIKRUTAN RT 15 (3.7035). The choice of grade chiefly depends on the degree of forming involved in manufacturing the component in question.

7 E7 w# _# p% o" b1 _0 xIn this context we would like to draw special attention to our CP titanium grade TIKRUTAN RT 12 S. The letter S is an internal designation indicating that this is a soft material which displays very good deep-drawing and embossing characteristics. This grade meets the requirements of all current specifications, e.g. DIN 17860 (3.7025), VdTÜV materials sheet 230/1 (Ti I), ASTM B 265 and ASME SB-265 (grade 1) just as well as our TIKRUTAN RT 12 material.)
