• it is not a task, paper work that the customer wants to evaluate your clerical skills

What is PPAP

• used to evaluate the production process for the manufacture of goods% Y) _2 k* r. I
• it is a process, not just a task that your customer requests because he can
, T4 v" Q8 w* O1 M* N6 \• it is documented method of evaluating a manufacturing process to verify repeatability and functionally of the process
: s" V* ^, }2 W% G• A blueprint, if you will, of how a manufacturing process flows, is controlled and maintained for predicated consistency, time, part to part, and shift to shift.
( K; M/ J: C2 |9 J3 N• The process control plan and PFMEA, which is part of a PPAP is working, living document to control process and evaluate predictability and continuous improvement
/ V2 I1 k4 Q0 ]; R7 A* a• If used as a process monitor, a PPAP can identify opportunities for scrap reduction, productivity improvement and cost reduction.# K( u. ^4 K, B ~. c3 M* \8 \/ ?5 h
• The point of cost reduction is not only for the customer, it is also for the supplier.* i6 O" n K: e/ V5 O
• It will redirect monies for capital investment and employee and company stability and strength in the market place.+ `2 ^ z4 ]+ b' _
• Revision of “preliminary Process capability” now called initial process studies5 b, _. i4 h" e9 m$ ~' z

• Requirement for Bulk Material now included.
