8.4 分级
根据下面给的判据，应将材料分成HB、HB40和HB75（HB＝水平燃烧）级。
6 m" r4 [" P& T) L2 d8.4.1 HB级材料应符合下列判据之一：
a) 移去引燃源后，材料没有可见的有焰燃烧；
b) 在引燃源移去后，试样出现连续的有焰燃烧，但火焰前端未超过100mm标线；
c) 如果火焰前端超过100mm标线，但厚度3.0mm~13.0mm/其线性燃烧速率未超过40mm/min,或厚度低于3.0mm时未超过75mm/min；
' B% ^- c4 m3 L* Z0 {d) 如果试验的厚度为3.0±0.2的试样，其线性燃烧速率未超过40mm/min，那么降至1.5mm的厚度时，就应自动地接受为该级。
( q$ k; ^1 t7 x( }0 W# Z5 X6 ~8.4.2 HB40级材料应符合下列判据之一：
a) 移去引燃源后，没有可见的有焰燃烧；
" b  R9 J" q7 |b) 移去引燃源后，试样持续有焰燃烧，但火焰前端未达到100mm标线；
C）如果前端超过100mm标线，线性燃烧速率不超过40mm/min。
' ~2 {' [. P/ p, M" B) u8.4.3 HB75级材料，如果前端超过100mm标线，线性燃烧速率不应超过70mm/min。

- M2 s/ i0 R4 y& z  v2 v4 r8.4 Classification
The materials shall be classified HB, HB40 or HB75 (HB = horizontal burning) in accordance
4 Y& W+ w1 f1 `& A5 a: vwith the criteria given below.
% Y8 X5 F( y! r: `& ^) f! r8.4.1 A material classified HB shall conform to one of the following criteria:
a) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;
b) if the test specimens continue to burn with a flame after removal of the ignition source, the
flame front shall not pass the 100 mm mark;
c) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding
40 mm/min for a thickness of 3,0 mm to 13,0 mm or a burning rate not exceeding
4 {* v0 N0 `; v$ y! O* K75 mm/min for a thickness of less than 3,0 mm;
d) if the linear burning rate does not exceed 40 mm/min for tests with 3,0 mm ± 0,2 mm
6 h% u+ ^1 b- k4 ^3 ]( u4 dthickness, it shall automatically be accepted down to a 1,5 mm minimum thickness.
8.4.2 A material classified HB40 shall present one of the following criteria:
- T7 N$ r% f! h' O+ Q/ H* Ta) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;
+ \$ |- Q, J7 @b) if the test specimens continue to burn with a flame after removal of the ignition source, it
shall not have the flame front pass the 100 mm mark;
c) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding
40 mm/min.
8.4.3 A material classified HB75 shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding 75 mm/min, if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark.

HB40可能明确了试样尺寸。HB可能不强制规定试样尺寸，所以给了范围。 薄的试样燃烧速率自然快一些、剧烈一些。
