The materials shall be classified HB, HB40 or HB75 (HB = horizontal burning) in accordance
4 Y& W+ w1 f1 `& A5 a: vwith the criteria given below.
% Y8 X5 F( y! r: `& ^) f! r8.4.1 A material classified HB shall conform to one of the following criteria:; K& U% A4 `; n* m
a) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;; y0 K" w6 @6 L) t: L
b) if the test specimens continue to burn with a flame after removal of the ignition source, the+ |! S0 I% L% I; _, C
flame front shall not pass the 100 mm mark;& X2 k0 [7 }6 m( I* y
c) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding' t: @# i! g! @2 x
40 mm/min for a thickness of 3,0 mm to 13,0 mm or a burning rate not exceeding
4 {* v0 N0 `; v$ y! O* K75 mm/min for a thickness of less than 3,0 mm;; P0 E. Y6 \, K2 e' z6 V
d) if the linear burning rate does not exceed 40 mm/min for tests with 3,0 mm ± 0,2 mm
6 h% u+ ^1 b- k4 ^3 ]( u4 dthickness, it shall automatically be accepted down to a 1,5 mm minimum thickness.$ k2 _, j0 \/ Q
8.4.2 A material classified HB40 shall present one of the following criteria:
- T7 N$ r% f! h' O+ Q/ H* Ta) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;
