this paper presents  different ways to simulate a jet engine nozzle motion. The case helps to  validate the use of the new software SAMCEF Field & SAMCEF Mecano/Motion  on complex nozzle mechanism. It also gives an overview of potential areas of  interest for the design of future systems. After a quick sum-up of engine  nozzle design philosophy, we will detail the various phases to define the  mechanism model, from use of CAD model to detailed analysis.
