8.4 Classification
1 H* G3 @+ x4 SThe materials shall be classified HB, HB40 or HB75 (HB = horizontal burning) in accordance
& _ [! i1 u, X3 L3 }% w+ d% Ewith the criteria given below." w1 e: }. n: m) S) O
8.4.1 A material classified HB shall conform to one of the following criteria:% A# n' i: g+ h
a) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;
+ e) K6 D/ U+ j& Q2 I. M7 e9 Ib) if the test specimens continue to burn with a flame after removal of the ignition source, the
! W/ Q# t0 r8 _3 E, O# v8 mflame front shall not pass the 100 mm mark;6 h" v/ `6 \- r
c) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding
4 E' B1 v8 F& i40 mm/min for a thickness of 3,0 mm to 13,0 mm or a burning rate not exceeding; q: i) O6 R6 q/ H7 p* j
75 mm/min for a thickness of less than 3,0 mm; F2 ^4 m. U* W- o7 {
d) if the linear burning rate does not exceed 40 mm/min for tests with 3,0 mm ± 0,2 mm9 {0 V6 A. I, |. T2 G7 \8 a5 m
thickness, it shall automatically be accepted down to a 1,5 mm minimum thickness.
1 E. k5 B9 c; K/ p; a& t0 _7 K9 O7 f8.4.2 A material classified HB40 shall present one of the following criteria:- y6 n, S" X0 A& v1 D! z
