General Description
4 i# ` A7 P# J3 e' u, GSurlyn® 8920 thermoplastic resin is an advanced ethylene/methacrylic acid (E/MAA) copolymer, in which
+ N, f* z* {3 m$ K+ Pthe MAA acid groups have been partially neutralized with sodium ions. The amount of MAA and( F/ ?9 O. [/ V" g
neutralization levels for this grade result in excellent abrasion resistance, clarity, and stiffness. The resin
8 o1 U, A, b' X0 A" ccan be injection or blow molded, and is processable by extrusion into sheets or shapes. It also can be used6 Q) d+ P. w. W; S9 w6 y. G: c
as a nucleating agent for PET molding applications. The resin complies with the provisions of U.S. Food
( S$ u2 u/ g9 l/ [0 land Drug Administration (FDA) Title 21 Code of Regulations 177:1330. Typical performance properties are
