Laskaridis Shipping of Greece has cancelled a handysize bulker at the South Korean yard. , Z6 ]+ ?: f; ^, n! v! Z

Commercial director Yiannis Lagarias confirms Laskaridis cancelled the 34,000-dwt Nireas in May, when the ship was due for delivery.

Lagarias says the price was negotiated down to $29m per ship once it was clear there would be delays. ; Q% O0 |2 f q4 r% Z4 \

In the end, Cebi Denizcilik ve Ticaret of Turkey bought the ship for a reported $26m, renaming it Minanur Cebi 1, for slightly more than Laskaridis’s offer. Delivery is now set for July.
