baffle plate --used to separate the pump inlet from the resturn line so that the fluid must circulate first before being drawn in at the inlet . it can allow foreign material to settle and entrained air to rise. It makes sure that the fluid does get enough time to get rid of entrained air. not directly go back to pump or operating line. You must know that .. air need time to form bubble and rise out.4 e.
