This book is designed as a handbook with some basic information on polymeric composite
4 r/ x- f6 s" m$ f; Xfabrication. It is prepared by considering beginners as well as technical personnel already

information on various aspects, including applications.' v' ?6 b' y/ h8 J" N* Z* X) j
The book has seven chapters. Each of these were prepared by a group of experts from7 _4 n. i8 t) k- s) m s
different parts of the world. The first chapter, the introduction, gives some definitions9 t# s" Q* E( U) ]' h8 y) q
and classifications with some depth on the matrices and reinforcements for all types of1 A; D9 `- K& A5 I- d4 A
composite structures, including polymeric, metallic and ceramic matrix composites. More$ y. F# L0 y1 z+ J0 |
detailed information about constituent materials (matrices and reinforcements) is provided
/ n6 [8 j3 l8 \# T6 [: o3 A% O0 gin chapter 2. Different processing techniques of polymer composites are discussed in the
+ p5 `( Z; M# Q, X$ Z5 hfollowing chapters, briefly: open mould (in Chapter 3) and closed mould (matched die)
% u& F$ F5 m! p* h& }processes, filament winding (Chapter 4) and pultrusion (Chapter 5). The book ends with
